What Is EDI INT?

EDI INT is something that many businesses today are using and it is because there is not a better way to communicate with other businesses than through EDI INT.  When you enter the world of communications it can quickly sound like you are speaking another language, yet it is meant to make communicating more efficient.  It seems like EDI INT goes against the whole principal when you hear terms like EDI INT but this is simply an acronym.  Perhaps you know what EDI is; in fact you probably use it every day at your business without even knowing it.  EDI is an acronym for electronic data interchange and it is used to exchange applications, document, and information within companies, from company to company, or even from application to application.  When you tack the INT on the end of it, it means that you are delivering your EDI documents over the internet without going through a VAN.  EDI INT is one of the fastest ways to communicate.

EDI, or electronic data interchange has been the way that most big and even some small businesses have been going about business to business electronic commerce communication for about 30 years, with EDI INT being a new way of doing things.  The way that this was done before EDI INT is usually done is that the EDI document would be transferred from one partner to another through a VAN or value added network, and this is done on a per transaction basis, but this is not the case with EDI INT.  EDI INT is the future of EDI communications and enough cannot be said about EDI INT and the benefits and convenience that EDI INT offers to all that are interested in EDI INT.

Going about EDI over the internet, or utilizing the EDI INT technology does away with a lot of the cost EDI INT you are using AS1 or AS2 technology when you use EDI INT and EDI INT can reduce the cost of VAN usage by millions of dollars each year across a supply chain, making EDI INT the obvious for many.  In fact, companies have shown that their return on investment can happen in as little as a year when they go to EDI INT.  The great thing is that using EDI INT and AS1 and AS2 technology can offer all of the same features that VAN offers; they just offer it at a lower cost through EDI INT.
